Each ao dai is not only a symbol of traditional beauty but also a bridge linking the hearts of the Vietnamese community in Poland with their homeland. This spiritual value is profoundly cherished, helping to strengthen community bonds and spread the image of a friendly, tradition-rich Viet Nam to international friends.

This message was emphasised by Ambassador Ha Hoang Hai at the “Viet Phuc Bo Hanh” (Parade of Vietnamese Costumes) held in Warsaw’s Old Town Square – the historic and cultural heart of the Polish capital.
As part of activities to mark the the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution (August 19, 1945 - 2025) and National Day (September 2, 1945 - 2025), the event was jointly organised by the Vietnamese Embassy in Poland, the Vietnamese Women’s Association in Poland and other community organisations.
The event was attended by Ambassador Ha Hoang Hai and his spouse, all officials and staff of the embassy, leaders of community organisations and hundreds of Vietnamese women living, studying and working in Poland.

Speaking at the event, Ambassador Ha Hoang Hai praised the initiative of the Union of Vietnamese Women’s Associations in Europe and the Vietnamese Women’s Association in Poland in organising the “Viet Phuc Bo Hanh”. He stressed that the event carried profound meaning, not only honouring the ao dai – a cultural symbol of the nation – but also expressing the overseas Vietnamese community’s love for their homeland.

The “Viet Phuc Bo Hanh” – spreading Vietnamese culture in Poland – also marked the opening of a series of ao dai parades by Vietnamese women in major European capitals, initiated by the Union of Vietnamese Women’s Associations in Europe. With strong support from the community, the programme has reaffirmed national pride, strengthened unity among overseas Vietnamese, and promoted the image of a beautiful, tradition-rich Viet Nam to international friends.
