A delegation of Vietnamese officials led by Deputy Chairman of the National Assembly (NA)'s Committee on Legal Affairs Ngo Trung Thanh has conducted a study visit to Japan to learn from its experiences in national governance, public administration, and emerging economic sectors such as digital transformation and semiconductors.

The trip formed part of the cooperation framework between the Party Central Committee's Organisation Commission and the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics of Vietnam, and the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA).
While in Japan, the delegation paid courtesy calls to State Minister for Foreign Affairs Myaji Takuma, JICA Vice President Hateda Mikio, and Secretary-General of the Japan-Vietnam Parliamentary Friendship Alliance Tsuruho Yosuke, among other Japanese officials.
Discussions emphasised the thriving Vietnam-Japan relationship, especially after the establishment of the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership for Peace and Prosperity in Asia and the World in November 2023. Both sides noted their belief that the bilateral ties will grow more intensively and extensively in the time ahead, contributing to regional and global prosperity.
The delegation also engaged with experts and policymakers to explore topics such as leadership in public administration, digital policies, semiconductor trends, and Japan’s social welfare system.
Japanese experts shared insights into Japan’s post-war recovery and its transformation into a leading economy globally through effective governance, socio-economic policies, and technological innovation..
The visiting officials highlighted Vietnam's socio-economic development, external relations, and policies on investment attraction, trade expansion, science-technology development, and digital transformation, aligned with its goals for 2030 and 2045.
The delegation visited Hiroshima, Himeji, and Osaka, where discussions focused on fostering local-level cooperation and strengthening connections between the two nations.
