The 12 Vietnamese localities are Da Nang, Dong Thap, Thai Binh, Ha Nam, Ha Tinh, Thua Thien Hue, Ca Mau, Quang Binh, Hau Giang, Ha Giang, Lai Chau and Tuyen Quang.
Workers participating in this program will be paid according to the annual minimum wage of the Republic of Korea (about VND36.6 million per month in 2023), not to mention overtime pay, and work on holidays according to the Korean Labor Law.
To participate and learn about the program, employees can contact the local Department of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs. They have to be age 30 to 50, with long-term residence in the locality; have full civil act capacity, have no criminal record and not be prohibited from leaving or suspending exit as prescribed by law; be healthy enough to work abroad; and work in the agricultural and fishery sector.
The sending of domestic workers to the RoK is based on the Government's Resolution 59/NQ-CP dated April 27, 2022 on continuing the pilot implementation of sending Vietnamese workers to work seasonally in the RoK under the cooperation between localities of the two countries for a period of 5 years./.
